Dear Guests,
We are so fortunate to have met all of you and welcomed you into our extended family here at our home, The Fox and the Grapes. And for those of you who have returned, we have enjoyed getting to know you even more and made your stays entertaining and relaxing. For the few that have tried to book, again, and there were no rooms available for those dates you sought, saying, “Jim, how can we get special privileges, become one your flock, so we can stay certain times of year”, that is a challenge, I know, and I apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you will still try to come back, real soon.

Now, we are excited to hear how you are doing, what special news you would like to share with us so that we can post it in this section in our next edition. It could be anything from engagements, anniversaries, milestones in your life, other trips, expected mothers, babies births, graduations, you name it. We just want to keep in touch and keep people you may have me here or just keep us informed – it is just nice to know how you are doing.

Wine Trail Talk

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is now offering a new program called, Polar Express. Good from December 3, 2007 through April 13, 2008. Cost is $10 per person, plus 8% sales tax. How it works is there are no starting points, you may visit any of the 24 participating wineries, receive a free flight of wines at each winery, and the winery will stamp or mark the appropriate space in your Polar Passport. Plus, three more wineries opened this year, and a new winery and a new microbrewery are opening up in Lodi in 2008. Exciting stuff, huh?!

Finger Lakes Region

During Governor Spitzer's unprecedented State of the Upstate address, he unveiled his $1B Upstate Revitalization Plan- a plan designed to energize the upstate economy and bring jobs back to upstate New York.
